The Maurice-Richard Arena was built in 1962 and renovated in 1994. This is where the national short-track speed-skating team practices. The arena hosts many sports events, including the short track World Cup. The building is the second largest arena on the island of Montréal and can accommodate 4,518 spectators in the stands. It’s also the only rink in Québec that has an international-sized ice surface (30m X 60m).
