Use of drones at the Olympic Park is prohibited without authorization<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

To ensure the safety of all visitors, employees, workers, tenants, and users, the Olympic Park does not allow the use of drones or any other Remotely Piloted Aircraft System (RPAS) at anytime and anywhere on site without written authorization from the Olympic Park.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This applies to any type of drone, including microdrones of less than 250 grams, as well as to anyone with an Advanced Drone Pilot License. Written authorization from the Olympic Park is required even if you have obtained authorization from NAV CANADA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Olympic Park supports the capturing of images of its installations by the general public and media, and will grant requests for the authorization of drone use in a diligent manner once the safe sharing of air space above the property has been ensured. For their part, pilots must provide the Olympic Park with all necessary information and documentation as well as confirmation that they will respect all Transport Canada requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Drone pilots and media representatives are invited to\u00a0fill out this form<\/a>\u00a0to obtain a usage authorization. Please allow 48 to 72 hours for your request to be processed.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Note that drones are considered aircraft, and their use is governed by Transport Canada<\/a>, specifically under Canadian Aviation Regulations<\/a> (DORS\/96-433), and that the Olympic Park site is situated in airspace under the control of NAV CANADA. It is forbidden to use a drone in any reckless or negligent way that constitutes or may constitute a danger to the safety of the air space or people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Olympic Park reserves the right to intervene should a pilot use a drone on site without the Park\u2019s authorization, or to contact the authorities, as the case may be. Any unauthorized or non-compliant pilot risks facing law-enforcement actions to this effect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
