The Bronze Medallion certificate allows candidates to gain an understanding of the four basic components of lifesaving: judgement, knowledge, skill and physical fitness. They learn the techniques of towing and carrying, defenses and releases, in order to prepare themselves to carry out the rescue of conscious and unconscious victims by taking increasingly high risks.
Prerequisite
Must have Bronze Star or be 13 years old on the final exam and demonstrate the skills and knowledge of the Canadian Red Cross Junior 10 by the first class.
